Information we use and why

• Enquiries and submissions: names, email addresses, messages, manuscript files, author details and related correspondence that you provide. We use these to answer enquiries, assess submissions, manage editorial work and communicate about publication. Submission records are managed through our private editorial workflow.
• Published works: author names, affiliations, biographies and other information supplied for publication may appear with book descriptions, metadata and downloadable publications. This public material can be indexed, downloaded and shared by others. A private submission is separate from a published book.
• Website operation: connection and request information, such as IP addresses, browser details, requested pages and error or security records, is processed to deliver the website, prevent abuse and investigate problems.
• Optional analytics: with your permission, Google Analytics 4 measures website use, including page views, interactions, referring pages, device information and approximate location. Cookie identifiers may distinguish visits; we do not describe this information as anonymous.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

You can accept or reject optional analytics and change your choice through Cookie settings. Google Analytics loads only after you opt in. Rejecting analytics does not prevent you from reading books or submitting an enquiry. Your choice, the notice version and the time of your choice are stored in your browser for 180 days. Clearing browser storage removes that saved choice. Withdrawing permission disables further Google Analytics collection through our analytics control. The page may reload to unload code already running; you will be warned if you have unsaved form entries. Withdrawal does not undo earlier processing.

Google AdSense is also used on this site. It may use cookies, identifiers and information about your visits to deliver, measure and personalise advertising. The analytics choice above controls Google Analytics only; it does not control AdSense or provide advertising consent. Necessary site functions and security operate separately from optional analytics. Grounds for using information

Where a legal basis is required, we use information to take steps you request towards a publishing agreement or to perform that agreement; for our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries, managing editorial work and protecting the website, taking account of your rights; with consent for optional analytics; and to meet applicable legal obligations. Providing information requested for an enquiry or submission is voluntary, but missing necessary contact details or manuscript information may prevent us from handling it.

Who receives information

Relevant publishing staff, editors and reviewers may receive information needed for their work. Hostinger provides hosting for our WordPress website. Hosting, email and other technical service providers process information needed to deliver their services. Google receives information through the Google services described above. We may also disclose information when required by law or when necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Public author information and published files are available to website visitors.

International processing

Our offices are in the United States and Pakistan, and our service providers may process information in other countries. Those countries may have different data protection laws from your own. Contact us for information about the destinations and protections relevant to your information. Visiting this website does not constitute consent to an international transfer.

How long information is kept

Retention depends on the purpose and type of information: the time needed to answer an enquiry or assess a submission; the duration of a publishing relationship; the need to maintain the published scholarly record; security investigations; and applicable legal obligations or disputes. Public books and their publication metadata may remain available as part of that record. The browser preference period is described above. You may ask us about retention or deletion of your particular information.
