Necessary services and security

WordPress and our hosting services support delivery, administration, security and requested website functions. Authentication cookies may be used when an authorised user signs in. These functions are separate from optional analytics.

Our forms use Google reCAPTCHA for spam and abuse protection. It may process technical information and use a _GRECAPTCHA cookie for risk analysis. The analytics preference does not disable form security. Google Fonts also supplies the website’s typefaces; loading fonts sends a request to Google. See Google’s privacy policy.

Optional audience analytics

With your permission, Google Analytics helps us understand which pages readers use and how the website performs. It can process page views, device and browser information, approximate location and online identifiers. This information should not be assumed to be anonymous.

Google Analytics is not loaded by our analytics control before permission is given. Analytics cookies such as _ga and _ga_* may be set after you allow analytics. Our analytics loader requests a 180-day cookie lifetime; browser settings and Google’s implementation can affect actual storage. Signed-in website administrators and editors are excluded from this analytics loader.

Google advertising is separate

The website also uses Google AdSense. Advertising can involve Google and advertising partners, online identifiers, device information and cookies or similar storage. The analytics buttons on this website do not control AdSense advertising.

Where Google presents an advertising consent message, use that message to make or change advertising choices. A separate advertising-consent option appears in our settings only when Google makes its consent controls available. Saving and changing your choice

Select Allow analytics, Reject analytics, or open Cookie settings to make a specific choice. Optional analytics is not preselected for a new visitor. Browsing, scrolling or closing the settings does not grant consent.

We store your analytics choice in your browser’s local storage under llp_privacy_v1, together with a notice version and timestamp. The preference expires after 180 days, after which we ask again. It applies to this browser on this website, rather than to every device you use. If storage is unavailable, your choice may need to be made again.

You can withdraw analytics permission through Cookie settings on any page. Withdrawal stops future analytics loading and removes relevant first-party analytics cookies that the website can access. The page may reload to stop an analytics script that was already running. If you have entered information into a form, a reload option is offered so that you can preserve your work first. Withdrawal does not undo earlier processing or remove data held by third parties.

Your browser can also delete or block cookies and site storage. Doing so may reset your saved preference or affect functions you request. With JavaScript disabled, our optional analytics loader does not run.
