General Submission Requirements

Submission Format

• All submissions must be written in the English language.
• The standard font is Times New Roman (TNR), font size 12 and double spaced.
• Margins should measure one inch on all sides of the page.
• Pages should be numbered consecutively at the top right corner.

File Format

The acceptable file formats are Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) and PDF (.pdf).

Cover Letter

• Every submission should have an accompanying cover letter with the following information:
• A short introduction about yourself, including contact details such as email address and phone number.
• Briefly summarize your manuscript or proposal.
• Reasons for choosing Lumina Literati Publishing as publisher of your work.
• An indication of any previous publications or relevant experiences, if any.

Submitting Book Chapters

Title Page

Chapter title, author’s name and contacts should appear on a separate title page.

Abstract

Provide an abstract (150-250 words) summarizing what chapter entails.

Chapter Length

Each of them is about 5,000 to 10,000 words unless stated otherwise.

References and Citations

Use APA, MLA or Chicago style while citing references relevant to your discipline area..

Ensure that all references are complete and correctly formatted according to their respective styles..

Chapter Order

Number each chapter sequentially along with its title..

Submitting Full Books

Title Page

Create a title page with book title, author’s name and contacts.

Table of Contents

Provide a detailed table of contents indicating all the chapters included in the book and their sections.

Preface and Introduction

A preface and an introduction that give an overview of the purpose, scope and structure of the book should be included.

Manuscript Length

In general full manuscripts should range from 60,000 to 120,000 words.

References and Citations

1. Apply either APA or MLA or Chicago citation styles based on your discipline while citing references..
2. Ensure that your references have accurate details abiding by their respective format guidelines.

Chapter Formatting

• Every chapter must start on a new page.
• Label each chapter with its title and number.

Images and Tables

1. Make sure all images as well as tables are placed high resolution inside the text where they are mentioned.
2. Caption every image and table respectively for clarification purposes.

Submitting Book Proposals

Title Page

Title page must contain proposed book title, author’s name and contacts.

Proposal Overview

1. This section should provide an elaborate overview (2-3 pages) about this including;
2. The reason behind it as well as how far it is intended to go.
3. The group that will benefit most from it.
4. Little bit information regarding marketing analysis carried out (justification).
5. Any unique features or selling points that the book may have.

Table of Contents

Give a tentative list of chapters to be included in the manuscript under proposal for publication which can also assume different subsections titles according to what one wants them called.

Author Biography

You may provide a brief biographical account not exceeding two pages highlighting the qualifications you possess, previous publications done and any other relevant experience in your area of expertise..

Marketing Plan
