Criteria for Authorship
Only those people who have made a significant contribution to the concept, design, execution or interpretation of the research shall be included as authors. All authors should agree on the final manuscript and permit its submission.
Acknowledgment of Contributors
It is important to acknowledge people who contributed in any way to the work even if they are not eligible for authorship.
Original Work
Works must be original and therefore; if used someone else’s work or words, it must be properly cited or quoted.
Plagiarism
Any form of plagiarism is unacceptable; manuscripts containing plagiarized materials will either be retracted or rejected.
Accurate Reporting
They must give a true account of what was done during research and give objective discussion on its significance.
Data Fabrication
This involves making up of data, distortion or hiding some details which are unethical.
Disclosure
Authors must make public all financial relationships or personal interests that could bias their work.
Reviewers and Editors
Reviewers and editors should declare conflicts of interest in respect to manuscripts they cannot handle due to their existence.
Human & Animal Subjects
Research involving humans or animals should adhere to ethical standards as stipulated by various institutions granting ethical clearance for such policies.
Informed Consent
In human participants’ case, informed consent has to be sought from all individuals involved while this fact should also be stated in the manuscript publication process (APA).
Editorial Independence
Editorial decisions reflect only on academic materials that meet journal scope regardless of authors’ race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, nationality or political views.
Peer Review Process
Manuscripts are reviewed by independent experts so as to ensure that quality is assured for the research. Reviewers’ identities are kept confidential, and double-blind peer review is practiced.
Corrections
Should author(s) identify any significant error in their published work they should promptly notify journal editor and appropriate corrections will be made to ensure that this information reaches all concerned parties.
Retractions
Manuscript may be retracted in case serious errors or ethical breach occur such as data fabrication or plagiarism. The reasons for the retraction of a manuscript will always be indicated in its withdrawal note.
Reviewer Confidentiality
Reviewers must maintain confidentiality of manuscripts handling them as privileged documents and not give any information regarding such a matter to any other person apart from the editor.
Author Confidentiality
To retain integrity of blind reviewing process, authors’ and reviewers’ names are concealed from reviewers.
